This beautiful open space accompanies a lovely sized Living Room, an additional Study, and also converts into a an Additional Bedroom. If you are in need of a part time Bedroom, this a great solution and an amazing use of space. We built a track under the crown molding, and added Four Doors that could slide closed and open at any given time, to create a private wall for the Bedroom. When the Doors are opened, the space functions as a Beautiful Study and Lovely Living Room.
We really embraced this Blue Beachy Bath, and had fun adding all the beachy touches!! We went to the beach and filled up the glass vases with sea shells and sea glass, as well as the basket next to it. We also added blue towels to this already blue bath, a new chrome 8″ spread faucet, and of course some gorgeous show towels as well. Mixing an old fashioned Nicole Miller shower curtain, with our Beachy theme, adds simple elegance, with a whimsical charm and beauty.
This was my first project. I had purchased this pre-war 550 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment, and it was in desperate need of a complete renovation. I turned this tired old space into a beautiful Country French Chalet in the middle of Manhattan! I ripped off the wall that led from the kitchen into the Living room, and added all new cabinetry and basically started over! I purchased all new appliances, with a hooded vent that had a circular ventilation system to re-distribute. For those kitchens that do not have a window in your kitchen, a circular ventilation system is the best way to keep the smell out, and utilize your kitchen daily. I also tiled the counter top to really give the country french feeling, and used Yellow paint on the walls and white furniture to create a soft, cozy, warm feeling.
